Next year I need to 1) check for bug leaf damage each time I do maintenance. Spray as necessary. 2) space big ones 18 inches apart. Smaller ones 12 inches. Fertilize dahlias with the high phosphorus starting in middle of July. 3) using bigger stakes for mums, they got much bigger than expected.
